Matt  directs animals — real and rendered — with the same eye for behavior, timing, and Story . He started at Pixar Animation Studios, doing virtual camera and lighting on Toy Story 2, learning frame by frame what makes a creature's movement read as alive. That training now moves in two directions at once. As a live-action animal director, Uhry brings a patient, behavior-first approach to unscripted, unpredictable talent, translating instinct into performance on set. As one of the industry's early directors working at the intersection of AI and animal-driven content, he applies that same instinct to generative tools :  earn the performance, don't force it.
